The signal port of the projector (Part I)

1. VGA port
This is the signal ports on all common image projector and the laptop, old computers. If the notation on the projector says VGA IN or Computer In is the place where the VGA signal cable is connected to the projector. And if it is VGA Out is the output port (share) the signal to another broadcast device such as LCD screen, projector …

2. HDMI port
This is another image receiving port, usually on a new projector that costs more than $ 8 million, now supports HDMI 1.3 and 1.4. When receiving image signals from this port will have higher quality than many VGA ports. It not only transmits video signals but also transmits audio signals to the projector, but no HDMI out. HDMI port is equipped on many new laptops, Android HD 3D player, K + …

3. MHL port
In fact, this is a shared port with an HDMI port that has only been around for about 4 years on some high-end display devices. Its use is to allow the transmission of image signals when playing from smartphones that support this MHL port. This is a useful feature for displaying text, image and sound files directly from your smartphone via the MHL cable.

4. DVI port
This is a very common connection between the computer and the monitor. DVI is very similar to VGA, has 24 pins and supports both analog and digital. DVI cable can transmit HD video at 1920 × 1200 resolution, in case of dual-link DVI cable supports video transmission at 2560 × 1600 resolution. The biggest problem with DVI, however, is that the default does not support HDCP encoding, so you may not see DRM-licensed Blu-ray Discs.

5. Comosite Port (AV)
The connection consists of three wires, with two red and one red wire. This connection appears on Blu-ray DVD / VCD players or other popular players. Connection between television and Composite external devices such as DVD, karaoke, projector.

6. Component port (Y / Pb / Pr)
Image information is transmitted through the component port in three different colors, including green, blue and red (wire). Component Connectivity enables high-precision signal transmission and good signal reproduction up to 1080p (Full HD).

7. Video portal
The video signal port is used on older video signal players such as DVD players and some digital TVs today. Image quality received through the video port is usually not good compared to VGA and HDMI should be more fuzzy.

8. S-video port
Also has the same properties as the video port. The S-video port provides better picture quality, but the device that supports this port is not much current.

9. 3D-Sync / 3D Vesa Ports
The usual video signal port is available in high-end 3D HD projectors from Viewsonic, Optoma, Vivitek, BenQ. It has the effect of transmitting 3D signal from the dedicated 3D player, which is not used in Vietnam.
